Peter Banahan

Peter W. Banahan is a certified Neuropsychology Coach (CNC) and Emotional‑Literacy Educator. Peter is the founder of the Ann‑Wafer Not‑for‑Profit Foundation, a growing ecosystem of compassion‑driven initiatives that includes Holding All Hearts, The Wonderful World of Elio & Solace, and Raw‑Words Publishing & Productions. His work blends lived experience, emotional‑literacy education, and gentle storytelling to create spaces where children, families, and communities can feel steadier, safer, and less alone.
Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Peter has dedicated himself to building a new model of community care, one rooted not in clinical distance but in human connection, dignity, and emotional safety. The Ann‑Wafer Foundation’s ecosystem reflects this vision:

Holding All Hearts offers free, accessible emotional‑support tools, grounding practices, comfort kits, and community‑based education for anyone carrying heavy feelings.
The Wonderful World of Elio & Solace is a six‑book emotional‑literacy series that helps children understand and navigate big feelings through gentle, heartfelt stories.
Raw‑Words Publishing & Productions creates recovery‑themed apparel, spoken‑word work, and community‑rooted creative projects that support the foundation’s mission.
At the heart of the foundation is the Spiritual & Cultural Advisory Circle, a multi‑faith gathering of community voices who help guide the ecosystem with wisdom, humility, and shared responsibility. This Circle reflects Peter’s belief that healing is strongest when it is held collectively, across traditions, across experiences, and across the quiet spaces where people meet one another with care.
Peter’s earlier books, Crossing the Bridge and Unbroken Spirit, explore resilience and transformation with raw honesty and quiet hope, laying the groundwork for the heart‑centred work he continues today. His characters, the beloved Elio and Solace, serve as gentle companions for readers of all ages, inviting them toward emotional safety, self‑acceptance, and inner calm.
